June 6, 1999; Unity, WI. -  Dark skies and many severe weather warnings did not stop the IRA Wing Sprints from putting on a high flying, action packed show including the Modified and Super Stock divisions at MHR Sunday night, Racing action was sponsored by WlGM - K99 and Mac Tools, Bike giveaways were sponsored by Hardees and Weigels Body Shop. Hardees will sponsor this Friday night races.

The Sprint drivers put on a great twenty-five lap show Sunday night as only three cautions occurred. On on lap seventeen involved a trio of cars racing for the eighth spot starting #21 Howie Gleason flipping and sent Kim Mock ramming the third trun concrete ending their runs.

#51M Jim Melis escaped with only a flat and restarted at the rear of the lead lap. # 27G Donny Goeden grabbed the checkered flag, #19 Todd Daun took second and #70 Raymond Hensley claimed third.

#88 Mike Frost who had outqualified the twenty-nine car field with the fastest time during time trials came in fourth.

A fast, black track was in store for the Modified Feature drivers after the Sprints were finished for the night. Steve Isenberg lead the pack until Jeff Spacek overtook the lead in the fifth lap. Brad Seehafer passed Isenberg in the eighth lap with Ron Schreiner positioning himself behind Seehafer one lap later. A spin out on lap 15, caused by mechanical problems sent a disappointed and almost certain first place finish for Spacek to the back. At the restart, Brad Seehafer in the lead did a great job holding off Schreiner to take his first feature win at MHR. Schreiner was 2nd, Isenberg took 3rd, Troy Kuyoth 4th and Rich Lofihus in 5th.

With pole position, Kori Richter grabbed the early lead in the Super Stock Feature, with Mike Bauer, Lonnie Leu, Lance Leu and Randy Spacek rounding up the top five. In the tenth lap, Lance Leu, Mike Bauer and Paul Lieders came around comer two bunched together, resulting in Lieders spinning out and hitting the concrete wall.

Bauer, who was running a good, solid race was called on the caution. At the restart, Richter continued to hold the lead, with Lonnie Leu closing in each lap. Leu overtook Richter for the lead in the fourteenth lap and the feature win six laps later. Richter took 2nd, Lance Leu was 3rd, Mark Stender 4th and Paul Lieders finishing 5th.
