Monster Hall hosts banquet and plans for 1999 Season!

March 1, 1999; Unity, WI. - Monster Hall Raceway put the finishing touches on it's 1998 racing season, when MHR, Inc. held it's Appreciation Party on January 30th, 1999 at The Country Aire Banquet Hall in Stratford, WI.  Over 350 people attended, excited about last years events and anxious for the 99 season to begin.

The top 15 drivers in each class were awarded trophies, while Don Kaiser of "Designer Advertising" located in nearby Colby, Wisconsin donated coats to each track champion winner.  The drivers deemed champions included #80 Troy Kuyoth in the WISSOTA Modified division, #14 Lonnie Leu in the WISSOTA Super Stocks and #72 Todd Lindner in the WISSOTA Street Stock divisions.

Modified driver #99 Cal Maule, an exceptionally talented artist, gave each track champion a hand drawn picture of their cars.

Other drivers receiving awards during the ceremonies included most improved driver awards to #24 Kevin Rogers in the Modifieds, #77 Bill Schwantes in the Super Stocks and #71R Rod Herman in the Street Stock class.

The "Early Bird Award" went to Modified racer #14x Luke Schilling.

The tracks "MVP Awards ( Most Valuable People ) went to the Ken Kalepp family for the dedication and time donated to the track every week.

"Spokesman Awards" went to Claude Peissig and John Broome, the track announcers who did such a great job every Friday night with their knowledge of all the racers, racing info, and humor.

The track would also like to thank the many people that worked week after week, parking cars, taking tickets, security, counters, concession workers, track workers and the people who assisted in the pits.  A special thank you to all the businesses that sponsored a race night.  What a great year we had!

A special thanks to Brian Krug of Krug Towing in Medford, for an efficient weekly job.  And all other towing businesses for being there when we needed them - Jensen Motors, S & D Auto, Midway Chevy, H & H Motors and Langrek Towing.

Everyone looks forward to next year.  The track is making addition improvements including new restrooms, which are a welcomed addition.  Our season opener will be Friday, May 7th, 1999.
