Randy Spacek got to the
front of the WISSOTA Super Stock main event early and set the pace the entire distance to
record the feature win. |
Outside pole starter, Randy Spacek grabbed the fast lead in the
twenty lap WISSOTA
Super Stock Feature, Lance Leu, Richard Rivord, Mike Bauer and Ryan Rivord filed in
behind.
With two laps completed, Rich Bishop moved into fifth behind Bauer and both drivers kept a
short distance between themselves and Rivord. Cautions in the sixth and seventh lap
proved to be
the last time this race would stop until the finish. As Spacek stretched out his
lead, Bauer and
Bishop moved into third and fourth behind Leu in lap eleven. Fifth row starter,
Chuck DeSmith
passed Rivord for fifth in lap twelve. Bishop closed in on Bauer, passing for third
in lap fourteen.
Taking the start to finish win was Spacek, Leu 2nd, Bishop 3rd, Bauer 4th and DeSmith in
fifth.
| Back to back wins! Kirk
Bogdanovic (#82) scored his second consecutive WISSOTA Street Stock feature victory here
at MHR in a green to checkered event. |
 |
Fifteen laps of caution free racing action was held in the WISSOTA
Street Stock Feature.
Kirk Bogdanovic held the lead, followed by Dave Teatz, Dennis Squires, Chris Oertel and
James
Bandow. Oertel moved past both Squires and Teatz for second in the third lap, while
Rod Herman
moved into fourth. With a sixth row start, Kevin Adams used the outside groove to
his advantage as
he quickly positioned himself in third behind Oertel after six laps were completed.
Running through
lap traffic, Bogdanovic held a strong lead to capture his second feature win in a
row, Oertel 2nd,
Adams 3rd, Herman 4th and Jason Kellner taking fifth.

A
career first! Tyler Keyser (#7) earned his first career WISSOTA Mod main
win at MHR! |
The WISSOTA Modifieds had a rough time getting their feature running
as two cautions were held before a lap was completed. With the lead, Roger Andres
was followed by Butch Oertel, Steve Isenberg, Tyler Keyser and Scott Duval. In the
fifth lap, Keyser moved into third and quickly overtook the lead in the next lap as Andres
fell back with obvious car failure. Oertel held off heavy pressure for second from
Isenberg until lap eleven, and was then pressured by Duval, who took over the third
position in lap fifteen. Tim Hintz, running in fifth brought out a caution in lap
sixteen, ending his night with mechanical failure, handing over the position to Troy
Kuyoth. With four laps remaining, Duval used the low inside groove, passing
Isenberg for second as they passed the white flag. Keyser held a strong lead for the
feature win, Duval 2nd, Isenberg 3rd and Kuyoth passing Oertel for fourth in the final
lap.

Scott
Anderson (#27) was another first time feature winner here at MHR. Anderson
topped the A-Modified action! |
Changed positions were held throughout the final race of the night
in the A-Mod Feature. With the lead, Mickey Nosser was followed by Scott Anderson, Rob
Genett and Luke Lobacz. Genett moved past Anderson in lap four, and Pat Zdroik dove low
underneath Anderson in the fifth lap. Nosser looked to have the lead under control
until his engine blew in lap six, ending his night early. With Genett then in the
lead, Zdroik made a high move for the pass in corner three, when he got loose and
hit the wall hard, also ending his night early. With five laps remaining, Lieders
pulled ahead of Anderson only to be passed back by Anderson in the next lap. With three
laps remaining, Genett made a high corner four turn, making room for Lieders to
sneak past for the lead, with Anderson in second. A wild scramble out of corner four
to the finish line had Anderson crossing first for the feature win, Lieders 2nd, Genett
3rd and Jim Poyda in fourth.
