The battle between Jerry Redetzke (#27) and John Kaanta (#85) was hard fought right to the checkered.

The WISSOTA Street Stocks were the first feature to take to the track.
Ken Heser and Brent Mindock shared the front row. When the green flag fell Terry Sirek, Heser and Adams went three wide for second. This three wide battle raged one full circuit   before Adams secured second behind Mindock.

Adams was not going to settle for second, however, and blasted by Mindock on lap three for the lead. The first caution flew for Chris Crapser, who got punted by another racer in turn two. On the restart Adams checked out on the field while Crapser marched passed Heser and Kisling for sixth.

Just ahead of Crapser a tight battle for second through fifth positions was raging between Mindock, Dave Teatz, Trevor Wilson and Terry Sirek. The battle got a little too close when Sirek got pushed high while racing out of turn four, and he bit the front chute retaining wall near the flagstand.

Sirek's machine was heavily damaged but a caution wasn't needed because his momentum carried him off the track via the track exit off the front chute.

Meanwhile, Crapser peeked inside Wilson but then fell off the pace a bit before a caution waved over the raceway. During the realignment of the field, the #83 machine of Brandon Baker was called for the caution. Baker strongly disagreed with the call by the official and after a lengthy delay getting him back in line, he showed the official his thoughts via sign language and tagged onto the tail of the field. On the final dash to the finish Wilson was able to make an inside move stick on Teatz for third while Adams cruised to the checkered. Mindock was second and Crapser fifth.

Rick Rivord and Paul Lieders paced the WISSOTA Super Stock feature to the green flag; however, the first attempt at a start was voided and they tried again. Under green, Rivord and Lieders ran wheel to wheel for one lap before Lieders was able to grab the lead on the front chute near the completion of lap one. The first caution flew for Dan Westaby on lap one after a mad scramble for position resulted in contact and the spin. The officials deemed a lap had not been completed so an automatic double file restart was called for.

Once again Rivord and Lieders led the field to the green and this time Lieders immediately took the lead followed by Kevin Adams, but yet another caution slowed the field.

Ben Anderson was charged with the yellow after spinning in turn one. Anderson did not agree with the call by the official and contested the position only to be put the rear anyway. Lieders and Adams ran nose to tail when racing resumed and pulled out to a seven car length lead over third place before the field'ss favorite color waved again.

This time Terry Gorst suffered a flat tire and stalled in turn two. Two extra laps were needed to pack the track after one racer's radiator dropped water on the front chute before the race got back underway. After one more yellow flag, Lieders led the field to the checkered for the win followed by Adams, Lance Leu, Rivord and Paul Erikson.

The open wheeled WISSOTA Modifieds took to the raceway for their feature with Jeff Spacek and Steve Kuester on the front row. Spacek sped to the lead when the green waved followed by Jed Moore, who made a strong move to the inside of Kuester for second. An early caution for a misplaced barrier tire on the inside of the track slowed the action momentarily.

Over the next four to five laps, Scott Duval ducked inside of Ray Karl then looked inside Troy Kuyoth, but couldn't make that move work. Also, Tyler Keyser looked to the inside of Kuester but there wasn't enough room to make the pass.
At this point of the race, Spacek had bolted to a five car advantage while Keyser continued his relentless pressure on Kuester. Keyser eventually made the pass and set out for Moore. He then jumped to the cushion and sailed around Moore for second while Paul Harelstad dove inside Duval, then worked Troy Kuyoth.

Moore and Kuester ran wheel to wheel for position before the yellow flew for Jason McFadden, who was nosed against the turn two wall. On thr restart, Tony Devine spun in turn four after one lap of green flag racing.

Again under green, Spacek was bolted to the bottom and remained in command while Moore and Kuester battled with each other. The two raced into turn three; Moore had the advantage but Kuester dove into the corner very hot and nudged Moore's rear bumper, which sent Kuester into a slight spin. Kuester spun to the inside of the track, regained control and reentered the raceway while Moore pushed up the track in turn four and came to a stop.

Moore was charged with the caution and was outwardly upset with the call; after a lengthy delay to get him realigned, he tagged onto the rear of the field. Harelstad shot around Kuyoth for fourth when racing resumed while Keyser was glued to Spacek's rear bumper. Keyser was able to get his nose under Spacek on a few occasions but he couldn't complete the pass. Another caution was needed after Luke Schilling got crossed up in turn four.

Keyser dove inside Spacek on the restart but Spacek fought off the challenge and retook the lead while Harelstad made his way around Kuester for third. One final caution for Billy Byholm slowed the field after he got tangled up with Kevin Rogers. The final dash to the checkers got wild when Duval searched for an opening around Kuester while Spacek, Keyser and Harelstad made it a three wide affair for the front spot. At the line Spacek edged both Keyser and Harelstad for the feature win. Kuester stole fourth followed by Duval in fifth.

Terry Casey and Pat Doar paced the field to the green in the much anticipated WISSOTA Late Model. Casey got the jump and bolted into the lead, but Doar stuck his #11 to the inside of Casey right away and after a bit of contact, the leaders raced side by side into turn three. Doar stole the top spot away on lap two and began to pull away from Casey,
who was now locked in battle with Paul Brust.

The duo ran wheel to wheel for second for the next four laps while Jon Kurshinsky and Troy Kuyoth were duking it out for fourth just behind. Kuyoth slipped by Kurshinsky into fourth and began to track down Casey for third, while Doar made a shambles of the event. He ran almost a straightaway ahead of Brust, who held second very comfortably. Kuyoth appeared to have the upper hand because he is a regular at the speedway in his WISSOTA Modified. He began to use the second groove to draw alongside of Casey for third about the mid point of the race.

Kuyoth got a good run off of the corners and he blasted by Casey into third just before the caution flew on lap 14. On the restart Doar again shot off into the lead but Kuyoth and Brust began a spirited battle for the runner-up position and ran side by side for the spot. Another great battle was raging for fifth between Jon Olsen and Joel Cryderman. This duo was ran door to door around the raceway as well.

The track began to take rubber on the low groove and the speed began to pick up lap after lap. Kuyoth stuck his nose to the inside of Brust on lap 22 and stole second away. Once Kuyoth had secured second, he quickly reeled in Doar, who was slowed by heavy lapped traffic and the race neared its end.

Kuyoth took a look to the inside of Doar for the lead on lap 27 and again on lap 28, but was unsuccessful in his advances. Doar went on to pick up his second Challenge Series feature win of the season with Kuyoth recording his best ever Challenge Series finish in second. Paul Brust and Terry Casey also recorded their best ever Challenge Series finishes in third and fourth. Joel Cryderman held off Jon Olsen for fifth at the line. Mitch Johnson earned the Seubert Calf Ranches Hard Charger Award for the evening after coming from his 19th starting spot to finish ninth.
