Scott Anderson scored feature win number six in A-Modified action this evening.

The WISSOTA Super Stock feature was the first to take to the raceway with heavy hitters Randy Spacek and Paul Lieders on the front row. At the drop of the green Spacek grabbed the advantage on the back chute and Lieders ducked in behind. Lonnie Leu jumped to third from sixth, even after a slide job on Paul Erikson that resulted in heavy left front sheet metal damage on the #4 machine on the first lap.

An early caution for Terry Gorst, who stalled in turn three, slowed the action momentarily before Spacek again took control. Kevin Adams, who started ninth on the grid, applied heavy pressure to Mike Bauer while eighth place starter Lance Leu pushed Erikson. Adams was able to make the high line stick and drove around Bauer, then drove to the inside of Jere Stanton to gain another position. At this point of the race Spacek had padded his lead to five car lengths ahead of Lieders but that was erased when the second caution flag waved for a debris on the track near the flagstand.

After one lap of green flag racing, the yellow flew again for Gorst, who was struggling with his set-up and spun in turn one. Gorst was relegated to the pits after causing his second yellow of the event. Adams blasted around Jim Willner on the high side to take over sixth when the green flew for the third time while Lonnie Leu started to apply pressure to Lieders. Adams then blew around Erikson on the next lap but the pass was negated by yet another caution flag. This time it was for Eric Bolosky, who came to rest near the inside tires of turn one. A couple laps after the restart, Adams moved to the inside line and passed Erikson, then pressured Lance Leu and took fourth a few laps later.

Meanwhile, back in the pack, it was a tight battle for the ninth through 15th positions. Those involved in that battle included Bauer, Duane Dunbar, Dan Westaby, Shawn Huse, Scott Anderson and Scott Geiger. With one lap to go, Spacek had again built up a five car length advantage and he went on to cross the checkered flag uncontested followed by Lieders, Lonnie Leu, Adams and Lance Leu.

However, in a post race inspection of Spacek's engine, he was found to have illegal components and was disqualified, which moved Erikson to fifth and gave Lieders with the win.

The WISSOTA Street Stocks were next to race for their midseason crown and Kevin Adams and Chris Oertel shared the front row. Almost like a replay of last week's feature, Adams bolted from the line and never looked back. Oertel was able to pressure him on a few occasions but couldn't wrestle the position away.

Through six caution periods and restarts, Adams drove to the win over Oertel, Brent Mindock, Jason Kellner and Johnny Goulden. However, during a post race inspection of Oertel's #51 machine, illegal components were found. This moved Mindock to second and Dave Teatz into the top five.

The open wheeled WISSOTA Modifieds rumbled onto the raceway next with the Chute Roosters Chevrolet of Tyler Keyser on the pole and the Ford powered Stratford Slingshot, Troy Kuyoth, beside him. Keyser and Kuyoth raced wheel to wheel for three laps with each lap looking like a carbon copy of the one before. Neither driver could gain the edge over the other until the caution waved for Jed Moore, who pushed up the track in turn two and stopped near the wall.

Kuyoth was scored as first across the start/finish line before the caution flew, giving him the edge and the lead he needed.
When the green flag flew Keyser applied relentless pressure to Kuyoth; he worked high and low to get around but to no avail. Meanwhile, Scott Duval ducked under Jeff Spacek for third and began to close on the lead duo, who were five lengths ahead at this point. Duval got a break when Paul Knauf got spun on the back chute by Kevin Rogers, which closed the gap on the leaders. Under green Duval got a run on Keyser down the back chute and dove under him, but Keyser was able to maintain the position and was still applying heavy pressure to Kuyoth.

After two more caution periods the running order remained the same with Kuyoth in control followed by Keyser, Duval, Spacek and Knauf. With one lap remaining Keyser attempted a go-for-broke move on Kuyoth in turn one and it looked as though he was going to make it stick until he hooked a rut, which sent him pushing up the track, allowing Duval to get
by for second. Kuyoth crossed under the checkered first followed by Duval, and Keyser, Spacek and Knauf.

The A-Mod feature was nearly as predictable as the Street Stock feature with Scott Anderson on the bubble. Anderson wasted little time getting to the front and never looked back. Mickey Nosser and Rob Genett raced each other the entire way before Genett was able to secure the second position. Al Seehafer locked up fourth ahead of Duane Geboy.

In the Cruiser division, the team of Chad Simone and Randy Bargender went from starting on the pole to getting spun out and put to the back, to winning the race. A roll over occurred when the #3 machine of Steve Bangart got loose while he raced through turns three and four. The car started to hop while sideways, causing the right rear tire to pop off the rim; the rim dug into the ground causing the car to roll. Bangart was uninjured but the car done.

Simone/Bargender went on to win the race in exciting fashion ahead of Curt Andres, the team of Ira Strey and Bred Mews, the duo of Josh Olson and Jared Loos and Bryan Thornton and Don Stargardt.
