Chris Oertel (#51) won both his heat and the feature race in WISSOTA Street Stock action here at Monster Hall Raceway.

The Midwest Modifieds got the night off to a bang, with #01 Al Seehafer and #27 Scott Anderson leading the pack to the green flag. Anderson jumped out to an early lead, but was continually challenged by #34 Mickey Nosser, who made his season debut in good fashion making several charges for the lead all throughout the race, but to no avail. #01 Al Seehafer also gave Anderson a run for his money, but it was Anderson, once again, earning the feature winner sticker.

The street stocks saw more action than ever Friday night, with 16 cars signed in to do battle for the feature race. #27 John Becker and #8 John Goulden brought the field up to speed, with #51 Chris Oertel and #5 Dan Brost vying for their positions from the start. Becker jumped out to his lead, only to hold off charges from Oertel and Brost, until Oertel ran into trouble after a caution, and was forced to pit during the yellow, losing his spot. This still left the top five up for grabs, with #36 Dave Teatz now in the frontrunners spot. Oertel got back on the track before the restart, and went from the back of the pack, weaving in and out of traffic, having his eyes on the checkers. With 2 laps left, he took the lead spot from Teatz, and took home the win.

The super stocks brought the thunder onto the high banks with #75 Scott Geiger and #17 Terry Gorst leading the charge. Gorst jumped out to a big lead for the first 7 laps, until yellow flag conditions came onto the track. The green flag flew again, bringing the cars back up to speed, with Gorst still in the lead. Paul Leiders in his chevy powered #57 came onto the scene with authority, taking over the lead spot, and piloting his machine into victory lane, taking the checkers.

The Modifieds put on a great race, with #22 Jeff Spacek, #80 Troy Kuyoth, and #17D Scott Duval fighting for the front spot. Kuyoth worked the track on the low side, Spacek drove on the high side, and Duval waited behind them to capitalize on their positions. But, the nearly error free driving efforts Spacek and Kuyoth kept Duval in 3rd spot nearly the entire race. In the end, it was Spacek fighting off both Kuyoth and Duval, giving him the right to bring home the win.
