Foss Fast in WISSOTA Late Model
Win at Monster Hall!! July 4, 2003; Unity, WI. - A beautiful night for racing at Monster Hall Raceway sponsored by Car Quest. WE had all six shows along with fireworks in the middle of the show.
The Wissota Midwest Modifieds were on the track first. Ken Heser was in the poll position with Scott Anderson on the outside. The race started off with Anderson jumping ahead for the lead. Shane Halopka went to the outside of Heser passing him for second. Randy Bargender was able to pass Tim Colenhaus for fourth. By lap ten Anderson, Halopka, and Mickey Nosser were spaced way out leaving Paul Niznik and Heser Battling for fourth. Niznik was able to pass Heser. A lap later Heser left the track in a cloud of smoke. The Wissota Street Stock were next on the track with Dan Gullikson in the poll position and Rod Herman on the out side making up the first row. Gullikson was able to hold his position for the lead. Lap three John Becker was in the air down the front stretch causing a caution. The restart Steve Bangart, Ryan Viltz, and Herman three wide for second with Herman squeezing through. By lap ten Gullikson was way ahead in lap traffic and was able to win the feature. For the Wissota Super Stock feature Scott Johnson had poll with Jim Willner beside him. Willner was able to pass Johnson for the lead. Lap seven Jamie Strebig spun Kevin Adams out in turn four. On the restart Willner gained a big lead with. Terry Kroening trays to pass Paul Erickson but Erickson holds on to his fifth position. Lance Leu was able to pass Johnson for the second place position. The Checkered flew on Willner For the Win. The Wissota Modifieds came on the track with David Baxter and Jerry Campbell making up the front row. Baxter held on to first at the start gaining a big lead with Paul Harelstad gaining on him. Luke Schilling passed Campbell for fourth and Jed Moore followed him taking fifth. Harelstad had a big lead by lap 15. Scott Vesely spun in turn four causing a caution. On the restart Schilling passed Baxter taking the second place. The Wissota Late Models came on the track for the main event with
Joel Cryderman in poll and Kieth Foss on the outside. The 2- Man Cruisers came on the track with Jim Hewitt/Dustin Wiegel
on poll and Travis Hamm/Ed Hofmann on the outside. The race started and as they came
around Josh Olson/Jared Loos and Hamm/Hofmann turned sideways and they get hit by Ron
Kunninger/John Kunninger and Matt Schmidt/Tom Podratz causing the first caution. Another
caution was called on Olson/Loos and they go to the back and with in five laps they went
through five cars for second place. WISSOTA
