Nosser, Gullickson, Myers, and
Schilling win at MHR! July 18, 2003; Unity, WI. - The races tonight were sponsored by Mid Wisconsin Bank and D&A Automotive Sales & Service. There will be no more Late Models, only on those special events, so there were only five classes of racing action.
The Wissota Midwest Modified were first to roll on to the track with Mike Molitor on the poll and Dave Salzman beside him. On the start Duane Dunbar takes the lead and Mickey Nosser passes Duane Geboy for second. On lap three Paul Niznik spins in turn four and Al Seehafer has no where to go and slides into him. The restart Dunbar holds his first place position. As the race goes on Shane Halopka catches Geboy and passes him for third. Lap 13 the lead cars head into lap traffic. Nosser passes Dunbar and is able to win the race. The Wissota Street Stock came on the track for their feature event with Mike Warga and Roger Walker making up the first row. On the start Warga is able to hold the lead but Dan Gullikson shots up from third taking the lead. Butch Kummer passes Scott Miller For sixth followed by Brock Wright. By lap five Walker catches Warga and passes him for second. A lap later Craig Kisting spins in turn four. On the restart Mike Paul passes Warga for third and they came close together and Warga lost control and spins out. Warga then went off the track. Gullikson, Walker, and Paul pull way ahead and are able to take the win. Third on the track were the Wissota Super Stock with Curt Myers on the poll and Jamie Strebig on the outside. As the race starts Myers pulls way ahead with the lead. Paul Lieders passes Paul Erickson for third. The first caution came out with Adam Hensel spinning in turn four. The restart Myers pulls way ahead and Strebig passes Lieders for second. Another caution came out on Mike Hince. Lieders passes Strebig for second followed by Kevin Adams, Erickson, and Jim Willner. Adams caught up with Lieders and passes him for second. Myers wins this feature event. The Wissota Modified came on the track with Luke Schilling and Paul Knauf making up the front row. Schilling holds the lead. Jed Moore was able to pass David Baxter for fifth. By lap five Schilling is way ahead. Moore then passes Mike Bauer for third. Lap nine Andrew Baxter spins in back stretch. On the restart Jeff Spacek passes Bauer and Moore for third. Caution came out on Bauer on lap 16. Another caution came out on Mark Baxter. Now all thats left is green, white, checkered and Schilling wins this event. Last on the track are the 2-Man Cruisers with Mike Widmann/Eric Luepke on poll and Matt Schmidt/Tom Podratz on the outside. Widmann/Luepke take the lead. Josh Olson/Jared Loos started fifth and shot up to second. Then their good
luck went bad when they spun in turn two and weren't able to race anymore. The car 4-72
