Justin Lindner (#72) wrapped up the evenings Pure Stock main event the way he had so often all season long.... with a trip to victory lane.

Jed Moore is the 2005 WISSOTA Modified track champion at Monster Hall Raceway.  Moore started the feature on the pole inside Chris Oertel .   Oertel got on the accelerator fast and early lead after the flag flew to
start the modified feature. As fast as the green flag was thrown, so was the yellow for a caution.  The second restart, Moore did not let Oertel get a jump, and Moore powered through corners one and two with the lead.  Oertel was sticking right behind Moore, waiting to take advantage of the slightest bobble by Moore.  Paul Niznik was strong in third place, until some mechanical problems occurred, taking Niznik out of the race and causing another caution.

Scott Duvall had moved his way up to third place, after starting back in the sixth row of the feature, but could not move up any further.   The restart with nine laps to go had Moore keeping the bottom line, Oertel right behind him, followed by Duvall.  Moore drove mistake free the final laps of the race, never giving Oertel an opportunity to pass for the lead, and took the checkered flag for the season championship in the WISSOTA Modified at Monster Hall Raceway.  Oertel was
second, Duvall third, Mike Bauer fourth and Kevin Rogers held on for fifth place.

The WISSOTA Super Stock feature was a two-man show.  Jim Willner and Randy Spacek battled up front all night.  Willner drove masterfully up front, never opening the door for Spacek to get around him.  Jere Stanton was flying around the high side, making his way to the top five, after starting from the last row, when he jumped the cushion and hit the wall hard in corner one with the right side of the car.   Stanton was O.K. but his car needs work.  Only two laps remained, Willner stayed low and Spacek could not get around.  Willner claimed another feature win, Spacek second, John Feirn third, Paul Erikson fourth, and Terry Gorst fifth.

The WISSOTA Street Stock feature could have had three different winners.   Cory Crapser, Rugg Lindner, and Jared Loos battled for the lead all night. Crapser managed to hold off the other two cars most of the night, until the two laps that counted the most, the final two laps.  Lindner passed Crapser coming off  corner four and got the white flag.  Crapser made a final desperation move in the third and fourth corners, but could not get enough bite to get by Lindner, as Lindner won the feature in dramatic fashion.  Loos finished third, Roger Walker fourth, and Scott Miller fifth.

Shane Halopka, JR., started up front in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods and drove to another feature win at MHR. Steve Bangert  pressured Halopka on the high groove, but could not make the pass and finished second.  Jim Poyda third, Rod Ryba fourth, Dave Williams fifth.

The pure stock feature winner would be no one else but the driver who won almost every feature event it seemed at MHR this year, Justin Lindner.  Nate Hauge second, Luke Lindner third, Ron Kundinger fourth, Rich Delis fifth.

Now that the season track awards are claimed by the proper recipients, there is still some unfinished business this year at Monster Hall Raceway.  The September Sizzler invitational will take place at MHR on Sunday, September 11.  This is a full WISSOTA points show with guaranteed cash purse.
