Submitted by: Chris Bunkelman

May 20, 2005; Unity, WI. - The rain finally stopped in time to go racing at Monster Hall Raceway. It took plenty of hard work and cooperation of track officials and drivers to get the show started. The track held up throughout the night.

Luke Lindner (#18) came away with a feature win in the Pure Stocks.

The WISSOTA Modified feature winner Scott Duval, played a big role in getting the track ready. Scott stated after his feature win, "You could run the top or bottom tonight, and the track conditions have greatly improved from last year. Monster Hall Raceway has good people, good drivers, and everybody gets along". Duval dominated the WISSOTA Modified event and stayed out front the entire race. Chris Oertel and Jed Moore did not fare as well as Duval with both having some tough luck. Moore broke down midway through the feature and Oertel got a flat tire with just two laps to go. Oertel did finish the race losing many positions with the flat tire. Baxter finished second and Niznik finished third in this WISSOTA Modified feature.

The Super Stock feature was filled with cautions. After the early mix ups, the field of cars settled down and made for an exciting race. Willner started in the front row and again ended up in the winner's circle for his 2nd straight feature win at Monster Hall Raceway. Spacek turned in a strong performance with a second place finish after starting in the middle of the pack. Erickson finished in third place.

In the other events of the night, the Pure Stock feature winner was #18 Luke Lindner with #10 Nate Hauge coming in second, and #M00 Ron Kundinger rounding out third place.

The Street Stock winner was Jared Loos for his second straight win of the season at Monster Hall Raceway. Loos had to fight with Kummer right to the finish line. Kummer went to the inside coming off the fourth corner, but could not slide in front of Loos. Loos won by a ½ car length.

The feature in the Midwest MODS came down to a green, white, and checkered finish. #13 Dave Salzman Jr. led the way across the finish line, but not without a last ditch effort by Halopka. Halopka drove down low trying to find a way around the #13 Salzman Jr. car. Salzman was just too strong and drove into in to the winner's circle.

The season is now in full swing at Monster Hall Raceway. Kid's Night will be held on Friday, May 27th where kids can receive a free hot dog. See you there!
