June 3, 2005; Unity, WI. - WISSOTA
Modified driver Luke Schilling of Marshfield showed up Friday, June 3 at Monster Hall
Raceway with a new car; and ended the night with his first feature win. Schilling had
struggled the first part of the season with his original car. The new car definitely paid
off as Schilling showed strong throughout the night. Luke placed second in his heat and
held off Scott Duvall for the feature win.
The WISSOTA Modified feature event started with Schilling on the
pole. As fast as the race had started, Duvall moved from starting from the fourth row to
second place. Jed Moore, Chris Oertel, Kent Baxter had a good battle for the third
position most of the race. Moore broke something in the right front and had to leave the
track. The action also heated up between Schilling and Duvall after the caution flag came
out with four laps to go. Schilling kept his car in the low grove and Duvall could not
find his way around him.
The Northern Vintage Stock Cars made a special appearance to the Monster
Hall Raceway. To many of the fans this brought back many enjoyable memories of races from
the past.

around to other tracks for they rely on your donations.
Jim Willner once again claimed another feature in the WISSOTA Super
Stocks. Willner made the win look easy. Randy Spacek finished second, and Mark Stender
third. This is Willners third feature win of the season at Monster Hall Raceway.
The WISSOTA Midwest Mods had a rough time getting the show on the road.
Caution after caution came out. Shane Halopka eventually was the winner. The race was
limited due to time.
In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Butch Kummer and Roger Walker started on the
front row. Walker was about to make the pass for the lead around Kummer on the high side,
but Jared Loos wanted in on lead also, when Walker spun out in corner four. That ended the
night for Walker. On the restart, Loos and Kummer stayed low, but Cory Crasper and Rugg
Lindner found the high grove moved faster around the track. Crasper took the lead and
pulled away to capture another feature win followed by Linder, and Chris Crasper.
The WISSOTA Pure Stock Feature winner was Nate Hauge. Hauge started in the
middle of the field, but by midway took the lead and never looked backed. Luke Lindner
finished second, and Carolyn Nosser third. There was additional excitement added to the
race when Stepen Altergott hit the wall in front of the grandstands, rolling over making a
complete flip and right back on the tires.
On a sidenote: Luke Schilling (#43 WISSOTA Modified) is accepting

racing action starts at 7:30 PM on Friday, June 10th . Hot laps start at 6:30 PM.
