July 8, 2005; Unity, WI. - The kids
came out in large numbers on Kid's Night at Monster Hall Raceway. Most kids brought their
bikes to the track to take part in the bike race. The kid's bike races got the fans
charged up for the feature
WISSOTA events of the night.
Chris Oertel won his second feature in a row @ Monster Hall Raceway.
The WISSOTA Modified feature was filled with cautions, but Oertel never gave up the lead
after starting on the pole. Luke Schilling flew around on
the low groove but could not gain on Oertel finishing second. Robby Bunkelman was third,
Paul Niznik fourth and Jed Moore fifth.
The WISSOTA Super Stock feature got another first time winner of the
season at Monster Hall Raceway. After settling for second place the last couple of weeks,
Robby Bunkelman got his first feature win of the season at Monster Hall Raceway. Bunkelman
stated after the race, "the track was smooth and fast, just how I like it."
Bunkelman powered around the high groove, while John Feirn had a good run in the low
groove finishing second. Scott Duvall held on for third, Randy Spacek fourth, and Terry
Gorst fifth. Last week's feature winner Jim Willner spun out early causing a
caution, but after starting from the back on a restart, Willner did manage a sixth place
finish. In the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, the same song played again this Friday night at
Monster Hall Raceway.
Shane Halpoka Jr. won again making writing the results a broken record.
Halopka is dominating at Monster Hall Raceway, and is quickly becoming one of the most
talented young drivers in the WISSOTA racing circuit. Bargender came in second,
Soucek third, Grasse fourth, and Bowe came in fifth.
The WISSOTA Street Stocks, Roger Walker was hooked up on the high groove
and claimed another feature win at Monster Hall Raceway. Walker held off Rugg Lindner and
Cory Crapser who finished second and third resepectfully. Chris Crapser was fourth and
Jared Loos fifth. Crapser is leading the national points race this season in WISSOTA
Street Stocks.
Justin Lindner could probably drive just about anything and still end up
in the winner circle @ Monster Hall Raceway. Lindner rolled his car last Sunday and showed
up at Monster Hall Raceway with a new car. The end result was the same as weeks
past. Linder took the feature win with Nate Hauge coming in a strong second. Stephan
Altergott third, Carolyn Nosser fourth, and Luke Lindner fifth in the WISSOTA Pure Stock
feature.
The motorcycles will join the racing card this upcoming Friday night at
Monster Hall Raceway, July 15th. Gates open at 5 pm, Hot Laps 6:30 pm, Racing Action at
7:30 pm.
