Rain stops racing action at Seymour Tri-Oval Raceway!
By Dave Panske

August 22, 1999; Seymour, WI - Despite playing the waiting game with the weather throughout the day, N.E.W. Dirt was forced to cancel their scheduled racing program Sunday night at the Seymour Tri-Oval Raceway. This was the third rainout of the season and leaves just two Sunday night programs on the schedule for 1999, prior to the season ending 3rd Annual Budweiser Nationals to be held at the track on Saturday night, September 25th.

The point battles are up for grabs in all four divisions at the track, The IMCA Stock Cars will only have this next week to battle it out for the season crown, even though the other three divisions run for points to the end of the season on September 5th. The IMCA Nationals take place in Boone the week following Labor Day and the Stock Cars start to compete on Monday, so the club will end their point season one week early to allow the teams to leave a day earlier to get there on time.

Seymour Tri-Oval Raceway is located on the Outagamie Fairgrounds just north of downtown Seymour.  The track is a third-mile clay tri-oval featuring WISSOTA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and Street Stocks. Racing starts at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings.
