By Dave Panske

December 20, 1999; Seymour, WI - The January 3rd meeting for N.E.W. DIRT will be a very important meeting for future of the club as it enters the 2000 season.

At the December meeting, club president, Bernie Baye, submitted his resignation for the final year of his term, effective, January 1st,2000. At the same meeting, Treasurer, Karen Baye, submitted her resignation for the final year of her term, effective, February 1st.

At the club elections in October, Bernie made his plans known, so the election for the vice president would be, in fact, for the president. Club By Laws call for the Vice President to move up to fill in a vacancy for the president.

Steve Van Pay was elected as vice president at that meeting, and will take over as president at the January meeting.

At the December meeting and at the banquet, members were informed of the importance of the attending the January meeting. Nominations for a two year term for Vice President and a one year fill in term for Treasurer will be taken and voted on by members present.

Members a reminded that they will need 2000 memberships to participate in the votes at the January meeting. New memberships have been available since October and will be available prior to the January meeting.

N.E.W. DIRT holds their monthly meeting on the first Monday of every month at 8:00 PM at the Edgewood Supper Club, 1 mile south of Seymour on CTY C.
