N.E.W. Dirt gets ready for 2000 Opener
as track improvements are made!

April 2, 2000; Seymour, WI -   The recent early spnng like weather has enabled N.E.W. DIRT to do some extensive work at the Seymour Tri Oval Raceway in preparation of their 17th season opener, scheduled for Sunday night. April 30th.

Several track improvements will be noticed upon arrival at the track. A new concrete barrier has been put in place from the grandstand into turn two. This replaces the antiquated guardrail that was in place. The concrete blocks will also be put in along the long back chute heading into the tri-oval. This part of the track has also received a lot of attention. The clay that has been kicked off the track over the past several years was pulled back onto the track to level off and get the banking back into place.

The digging has left a drop off the back chute, which is the reason for the wall to be put in place. The wall will also give the drivers a better sense of the track while racing. The work gives the track an even 75 foot wide path all the way around the raceway.

Club officers have been working at every open time to re-groom the track to make sure everything is ready for the April 30th opener.
