Racers get ready for action
with Seymour Tri-Oval practice!
By Dave Panske
April 22, 2000; Seymour, WI - N.E.W. DIRT held their first official event of the 2000 racing season with an open practice session on Saturday afternoon at the Seymour Tri Oval Raceway.
A good field of 54 cars representing the 4 weekly divisions turned out to do some pre season testing.
A couple hundred race fans also took advantage of the opportunity to check out the competition for the up coming season as well. This is the first practice the club has run in many years, and wanted this opportunity because of the work that was done at the track this spring.
Comments from the drivers indicated they were very pleased with the work done and how well the track held together for the days activities. Club officials were also very happy with the turn out and the favorable response as they now gear up for the official season opener, this Sunday night, April 30th.
IMCA Modifieds, WISSOTA Late Models, Street Stocks and IMCA Stock Caws make up the weekly racing programs on the unique 1/3 mile clay oval. Racing begins every week at 6:30pm.
