N.E.W. Dirt looks ahead to 2001 season! February 20, 2001; Seymour, WI - N.E.W. DIRT is taking several mid winter steps to help make their 18th season a great one. A three year contract extension has been signed with the Fair Association ensuring a 20 year plus history for the club at the fairgrounds track. Along with that, an agreement has been reached for work to be done on the track over the next couple of weeks. 100 to 150 loads of clean clay will be added to the track surface and will be worked in as much as possible now, with final grooming to take place later in the spring in time for the May 6, 2001 opener. All four divisions will be returning to the Tri-Oval for the 2001 season. The IMCA Modified and Stock Car divisions will be sanctioned for the year. The Late Models will also be returning and WILL run under the WISSOTA banner as in the past. Club memberships and pit parking spots should be obtained as soon as possible to avoid delays on opening night and to help the club finances out for the pre-season work being done. The club holds monthly meeting throughout the year on the first Monday of every month at 8 PM at the Edgewood Supper Club, just south of Seymour on HWY C. |
