Seymour hard at work
with track improvements
for 2001 Season!

17, 2001; Seymour, WI - N.E.W. DIRT officers and track
workers are impatiently waiting for the Spring weather to develop a pattern so work can
proceed to get the Seymour Tri Oval Raceway ready for their 2001 season opener, set for
Sunday night, May 6.

Over the winter, 200 loads of clay was added to the track. The stone
free clay was spread and packed at that time, but is waiting for track crews to attack to
put the track in shape.
A new concession area in the pit area is also being installed to complete the other
improvements being done for this season.
A work day is scheduled for this Saturday morning at 9 AM to clean and get the track
ready.
The club has also scheduled an open practice, set for Sunday April 29th. The pits will
open at 11 am with the track open for practice at 12 noon. Track will remain open until
approx. 4 pm which will be plenty of time to shake down cars to get ready for the opener.
There will be a $10. per person charge for the pit area. The grandstand will be open free
of charge for those wishing to get a sneak peak at the cars.
The weekly programs will feature the IMCA Modifieds, WISSOTA Late Models, Street Stocks
and IMCA Stock Cars on the unique 1/3 mile tri oval. Racing begins at 6:30 every Sunday
night. |
