Seymour
needs help from Mother Nature for season opener!
By Dave Panske |
April
27, 2001; Seymour, WI - N.E.W. DIRT officials have made the
decision to cancel the inspection and practice session which was scheduled for this
Sunday, April 29, at the Seymour Tri Oval Raceway.
The has been some concern for the practice the past few week. The weather has not
co-operated to permit crews to properly groom the track and its new layer of clay added
over the winter. Club officers do not want to put cars on the track until it is ready. If
the weather continues its warm, windy trend, the track will come around in a hurry.
Crews have been working continuously to get the track to pack. This weekend, several
pieces of heavy packing equipment will be put to work to ready the track for their 17th
season opener, still set to take off on Sunday night, May 6.
Further information may be obtained from one of the club officers, on the web, or, updates
will be on the track phone starting this weekend. |
