Seymour Tri-Oval Raceway to Host WIXX/Springborn 101! By Joe Verdegan

April 17, 2002; Seymour, WI -  NEW DIRT, WIXX radio and Springborn racing are proud to announce that Seymour Tri-Oval Raceway will host the fifth annualWIXX/Springborn 101 Sunday night, May 19.

In years past this promotion, which provides fans with several big giveaway opportunities, has been held at other dirt tracks in the area. "This is an event we developed just for the fans," said Bill Plucker with Scott Construction. Plucker serves as the public relations manager for three time WISSOTA late model track champion Troy Springborn. "Most special events are for drivers or tracks. This is a non-profit deal, something big for the fans."

Among the giveaway packages to be offered to race fans that Sunday night include a vacation package to Wisconsin Dells, including Noah's Ark tickets and a two night stay at the Rodeway Inn. Also tickets to see country music star Lorrie Morgan at the Crystal Grand Palace will be doled out, as will tickets to see legendary comedian Bill Cosby.

Other prizes include a two night stay at the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort in Wisconsin Dells, a two night stay at the Country Inn & Suites in Shawano and several pairs of Ralph Lauren sunglasses. For the children, a pair of bicycles will be given away.

One of the neat things about this night is that all fans need to do is keep their ticket stubs and listen for the winning numbers," explained Plucker. "They don't have to purchase any separate tickets for the giveaways."

Also race fans can win tickets to the May 19 event by listening to WIXX 101.1 FM in early May. Troy Springborn's Scott Construction/EyeCare Place/WIXX 101 #81 racer will be on display behind the grandstands beginning at 5 p.m.

Seymour Tri-Oval hosts WISSOTA late models, IMCA modifieds, IMCA stock cars and street stocks on a weekly basis beginning Sunday night, May 5 at 6:30 p.m. For more information on this event check out www.tspringborn.com.
