Seymour Anticipates Sunday Opener! By Dave Panske

April 29, 2002; Seymour, WI - N.E.W. DIRT is putting the final touches on the 2002 season, set to begin this Sunday night, May 5.

This is the 19th season that the club has run the weekly Sunday night racing programs at the Seymour Tri Oval Raceway. This season will see a couple changes to the programs.

There is one change in the admission pricing for this year. Adults-$9.00, Students and Seniors-$6.00, kids 12 and under will be admitted FREE with an adult.

There will also be an addition to the racing program. The four divisions that have made up the weekly shows for the past several years will return. The IMCA Modifieds, WISSOTA Late Models, Street Stocks and IMCA Stock Cars will run complete shows. This year, a 4 cylinder, front wheel drive entry level division will run an enduro style race at the end of the weekly programs.

The pit opens at 3 PM with the grandstand opening at 5 PM each week. Racing action starts at 6:30 every Sunday night.
